Karoo seed crackers are more than just a snack. It started with Elsabe Nel in search of a substitute for processed food. Something that is wheat and gluten-free, and more importantly, something that is traceable. Unsatisfied with what retail grocery shops offer, she started experimenting in search of various alternatives to bread. This all happened in the farm house’s large kitchen in the Klein KAROO, where the seeds for her love of baking was planted as a young girl.
Consequently, with friends and family as guinea pigs, Karoo Seed Crackers were born in her kitchen. Even today, every cracker is baked, cut, dipped and packed by Elsabe and her team. As a result, each product has more than just a personal touch; they come with passion and love.
These delicious hand made crackers are slowly but surely earning their place in the centre of every snack platter. Likewise, the chocolate crackers are finding their way to childrens’ school snack boxes.
