Solgar’s Omega 3-6-9 Softgels contain essential fatty acids from Fish, Flax, and Borage.
Fish oil provides EPA and DHA. EPA supports cardiovascular and circulatory health. DHA makes up a large part of the tissues in the brain and retina of the eye.
Flaxseed provides omega-3 fatty acids (alpha-linolenic acid or ALA) and the omega-6 fatty acid, linoleic acid. ALA and linoleic acid are essential fatty acids that must be obtained from diet since the body cannot make them. These fats support cardiovascular and circulatory health. Flaxseed and borage oil both provide the omega-9 fatty acid, oleic acid. Found in the membrane of nerves, oleic acid helps to support nerve health.
