Ingredients:
– 1 tablespoon raw sea moss
– 1 ripe banana, frozen
– 1/2 cup pineapple chunks, frozen
– 1/2 cup mango chunks, frozen
– 1/2 cup coconut water (or regular water or almond milk for creaminess)
– 1 tablespoon maple syrup (or agave nectar for sweetness)
– Juice of 1/2 lime (optional for extra tanginess)
– Handful of spinach or kale (optional for added greens)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the raw sea moss by thoroughly rinsing it to remove any debris. Soak the sea moss in clean water for 4-6 hours or until it expands and becomes soft. Rinse it again before use.
2. In a blender, combine the soaked raw sea moss, frozen banana, pineapple chunks, mango chunks, coconut water (or alternative liquid), maple syrup (or agave nectar), lime juice (if using), and spinach or kale (if using).
3. Blend on high speed until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and the smoothie reaches a creamy consistency. Adjust the liquid as needed to achieve your desired thickness.
4. Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness or tanginess as desired by adding more maple syrup, lime juice, or other sweeteners.
5. Once smooth and well-blended, pour the smoothie into a glass and serve immediately.
Notes:
– Using raw sea moss adds a nutritional boost to the smoothie. Ensure it’s properly soaked and rinsed before blending.
– Feel free to customize the smoothie with your favorite vegan ingredients or additional superfoods.
– Leftover smoothie can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Give it a stir or shake before drinking if it separates.
